What is a burr basket?
Simply put, a burr basket is a christmas gift basket that usually is made up of a small woven gift basket filled with a few affordable gifts. The gifts in the burr basket usually stick to one colour theme or aesthetic too, however, this part is only optional.
Why is it called a burr basket?
The ‘burr’ in ‘burr basket’ references the feeling of being cold and was originally called a ‘brr’ basket before being changed to ‘burr’ basket (this most likely caught on as a way to avoid auto-correct).
What to put in your burr basket?
Some of the main items people like to include in their burr baskets include mugs, blankets, snacks, teddies and other ‘Christmassy’ items.
